Deluxe Room
The Deluxe Rooms are 32.2 sq m and furnished with a Queen Size bed or Single Twin Beds, selected rooms are four poster beds.Refurbished in November 2011, the rooms are able to accommodate an extra single bed for the third person. All rooms comes with individual air conditioner units, have antique table fan, tea and coffee making facilities, operator assisted telephone, attached bathroom with separate shower and bath, hair dryer, vanity area and a full set of personal care toiletries.
Junior Suite
Delightfully spacious and cosy, the Junior Suites are furnished with queen-size, four-poster bed and a single sofa bed, which can accommodate a third person. Plush beige carpet with floral draperies and warm lights provide the room with idyllic comfort while uplifting fresh flower scents and a daily fresh fruit platter add pleasure to complete your enjoyment at The Lakehouse.
Family Suite
The Family Suite is a two-bedroom accommodation that features a master bedroom with a queen-size four-poster bed and a cosy sitting area for some quiet reading and another bedroom with two single beds and a dining table for group dining. The Family Suite can accommodate up to four adults or a family of two adults and two children. It has a common sharing bathroom that is spacious with two vanities, and separate bath and shower.Seasonal welcome fruits and daily turn down service with homemade cookies.
Cameron Suite
The Cameron Suite is designed to exude romance. This suite surrounds you with warmth and personal touches of fresh flowers and aromatic scents to uplift your spirits . Fresh fruit platter, shortbread and cheese platter will be served for daily pampering for you and your love one. Fully furnished in wooden fittings, warm earth shades, room amenities and luxurious king poster bed, the Cameron Suite completes your romanticism at The Lakehouse.In 1885, British researcher Sir William Cameron was commissioned by the British Council to Map certain area within Malaysia following the British colonization as much of the country still lay undiscovered. These expeditions could last up to several months. Cameron within the vicinity of reaching Ipoh and tracked the River Kinta to its source. Upon arrival at the top of the Gunung Chabang, a camp site was established and work commenced on mapping the surroundings. This expedition reported mild temperatures, ranging from 8 – 20 degrees Celsius, in the distance they were able t see a number of plateaus with heights ranging from 1,340 – 1800 meters above sea level.After this expedition Cameron returned to Singapore, unfortunately he died from an overdose of medication he was using to prevent insomnia. Several years later in the same area, other expedition was carried out with Cameron’s references, yet these maps were sadly lost.After forty years, a new expedition under Sir George Maxwell commenced, their main objective was the rediscovery of Cameron’s legendary plateaus. As a tribute to the first explorer, Sir William Cameron, the area was named after him.
Foster suite
Retired British Colonel Stanley J. Foster started construction on The Lakehouse in 1966, this took almost 4 years to complete, and it had always been a dream of Foster to have his own bed & Breakfast hotel. Foster resided in the now named Fosters suite, the Hilltop house was his private residents overlooking the Main building.This luxurious Foster Suite is located in the annex block of house wing to ensure total privacy and comfort. The Suite exudes a traditional old English charm with its romantic log wood fireplace to warm those chilling evenings of the highlands, as well as an intimate dining area.The exceptionally spacious attached bathroom comes with a walk-in wardrobe, large vanity areas, sunken bath and a shower. Complementary seasonal welcome fruits and daily turn down service with homemade cookies complete the lavish and warm ambiance at The Lakehouse.
