La Pirogue nestles in 14 hectares of magnificent tropical gardens where the fragrance of hibiscus and frangipani permeate the majestic coconut grove.
Accommodation
With vibrant colours and local artwork, fishing boat-inspired thatched roofs and sloping ceilings, accommodation at La Pirogue is full of traditional Mauritian charm. But which one of our individual ground-floor cottages is the one for you? We have several rooms that specifically cater to disabled guests, please let us know if you’d like to book one.
Damara Standard Room
All of the Mauritian bungalows at La Pirogue have direct ground-floor access to the luxuriant coconut grove, facing one of the most beautiful of Mauritius’ blue lagoons.
The 200 Standard Rooms have a floor space of 25 square metres and are furnished with double beds; they have en-suite bathrooms with separate bath and shower. 36 of them have a connecting door to the neighbouring Standard Room.
An extra bed can be added for a child under 18 or one adult. La Pirogue, the 4 star Mauritian hotel, also has one room which is suitable for disabled guests.
Superior Room
Covering an area of 35m 2 , the superior rooms are located closer to the sea and have room service round the clock.
Ideal for family holidays in Mauritius , they can accommodate a couple with two children under 12 years.
In addition to the facilities available in the standard room, the 46 bungalows are equipped with a Mauritian carrier and a bidet.
La Pirogue Suite
The two La Pirogue Suites: “Flamboyant” and “Bougainvillea”, provide accommodation for two adults, these magnificent 78 square metre Suites opening onto the coconut grove.
Each of the Suites has a private terrace and garden allowing guests to admire the beautiful landscaped grounds and enjoy the magnificent west coast sunsets. The spacious living room and dining area leads onto a separate bedroom with en-suite bathroom; the bathroom has a shower and Jacuzzi tub.
Furnishings include a dressing table which has a selection of international electricity sockets and adaptors. These Mauritian bungalows are beautifully comfortable; air-conditioned, they also have telephones with direct international access as well as a WiFi internet connection.
A flat-screen television with satellite channels and a Home Cinema are also part of the Suite facilities of La Pirogue .
