Man-made marvels have always been the center of attraction, one such example of human brain is The King Fahd Fountain. The foundation of King Fahd Fountain was laid in 1985 in the regime of King Fahd. The King Fahd Fountain is running continuously and is declared as the highest Fountain. The second highest fountain is Gateway Geyser (America).The King Fahd Fountain is also named as Jeddah Fountain. The location of this Fountain is in Cornish, a highly tourist attracting area in Jeddah.

The continuous flow is made possible with the help of three enormous and powerful pumps which are capable of delivering water at a rate of 623 liters per second at astonishing speed of 233 mph (375 km/h). The rate of water flow is up to 1023-ft (312m). In other words its airborne mass can exceed 18 short tons (16,000 kg).The height of water throw is more than that of Eiffel Tower excluding its antenna. The fountain has been running for over twenty years now. A comprehensive maintenance system including includes daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, half-yearly and annual inspections and maintenance operations enable this water flow.

The spectacular design took 2 years and made possible the use sea water rather than fresh water. The water drawn by the pumps comes from the Red sea. The sight of this Fountain with the black sky at the background and illuminated by 500 spot lights is breath taking. At several occasions there lights are innovated with different color schemes, laser technology and fireworks making it more admirable and worth watching. The sound of water falling in a peaceful night makes every spend moment memorable.
