Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Maleny

Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve comprises 55 hectares of National Estate listed subtropical rainforest overlooking the Glasshouse Mountains. A remnant of the rainforests that once covered the Blackall Range, the Reserve is a living museum of diverse plant and animal life which promises to delight with its tranquility and beauty. Step back in time in our Rainforests Through Time display, take a relaxing walk along our rainforest tracks from 7am to 6pm (a Gold Coin donation is appreciated) have a picnic or barbeque, or relax at the Café.           

There are many ways that you can enjoy and treasure Mary Cairncross Reserve. Enjoy our wheelchair and stroller friendly walking tracks on a family day out. Find out about our rainforest's history and meet our resident Dinosaur in our Diorama. Take a guided walk with one of our dedicated volunteers.
