Qishleh Ha’il
This site represents the architectural style of Najd and is located in Ha’il city center. King Abdul-Aziz – May he rest in peace – ordered its construction to train soldiers to keep peace and stability in Ha’il and surrounding areas. The site is comprised of a large square used for training and presenting the soldiers. There are arcades roofed with tamarisk trunks and fronds mounted atop stone columns. The historical Qishleh palace has two large gates and contains a mosque inside as well as numerous rooms decorated with gypsum, and colored and patterned doors and windows.
Located in the Jam’eyeen Quarter, this museum is a large gallery set within the historical Qishleh building. The gallery houses display cases for artifacts, panels of texts, images, maps, transcripts, and items of clothing from different periods that tell the history and tales of the region. A large, new museum is now being constructed, and it will become one of Ha’il's major attractions.
