The Namib Desert – unique – with a variety of desert landscapes, gives Namibia its essential character. It’s the oldest living desert on earth, where flora and fauna are perfectly adapted to this harsh environment, and where some of the highest accessible dunes in the world can be found. The Namib Naukluft Park is the largest Nature Reserve in Namibia and many private nature reserves are nestled at its borders to form a unity for wildlife and people alike.
Namib Naukluft Lodge & Soft Adventure Camp is located on a unique 25,000 ha Private Nature Reserve which stretches from the Namib Desert to the Naukluft Mountains, bordering to the Namib Naukluft Park on both sides, East and West. This unique and peaceful place has been carefully developed by its nature loving owners Friedolf and Barbara Sturm and offers a great desert experience for the relaxed holidaymaker and the enthusiastic desert explorer.
Rooms
Namib Naukluft Lodge has 16 rooms all built in a row. These rooms are built of brick, and quite modern in design, unlike many of the tented lodges nearer to Sesriem. Each room is comfortably furnished with twin beds, a table and a couple of chairs. The rooms are painted in terracotta and earthy colours, which matches the wooden furniture. All rooms have air conditioning, a fridge and a telephone, and all are en-suite.
